A commercial gym floor in Dubai must handle daily loading from heavy free weights, cardio machines running six to eighteen hours a day, and the thermal cycling of an air-conditioned environment. The flooring layer, the equipment selected, and the way both are specified together determine whether the room performs correctly in year one and still looks right in year five. Specifying flooring in isolation, without accounting for the equipment layout, anchor points, and traffic patterns, produces a floor that wears unevenly and is expensive to correct.
