How Equipt uses cookies
Equipt uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies that are always on, and a set of analytics and advertising cookies that load only after you accept them on the cookie banner. Until you make a choice, only the strictly necessary cookies are set; no analytics or advertising script loads and no such cookie is placed. If you reject, they stay off.
You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Equipt does not run a TikTok Pixel, a LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any tracker beyond the platforms listed below.
Strictly necessary cookies Equipt sets
These are strictly necessary; no consent is required under UAE PDPL, Qatar PDPPL, or KSA PDPL because each one is functionally required for the page you are on or for recording your cookie choice.
| Name | Purpose | Expiry | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| equipt_session | Maintains your form state across the contact form panels; clears when you submit or close the tab. | Session | Strictly necessary |
| equipt_csrf | Cross-site request forgery token bound to the contact form POST; protects you against form spoofing. | Session | Strictly necessary |
| equipt_locale | Stores your country selection (ae, qa, sa) so refreshing the page does not reset your route. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| equipt_consent | Stores your cookie choice (accept or reject) so the banner does not ask again, and so analytics and advertising cookies load only when you have agreed. | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
Analytics and advertising cookies (only after you accept)
When you accept on the banner, Equipt loads Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and the Meta Pixel. These measure how the site and its campaigns perform, attribute enquiries to the ad that produced them, and build retargeting audiences. They set the following first-party cookies.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Expiry | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Tells one visitor apart from another for traffic analytics. | 24 months | Analytics |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Keeps Google Analytics session and campaign state. | 24 months | Analytics |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Links a click on a Google ad to a later enquiry for conversion measurement. | 90 days | Advertising |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel | Identifies the browser so Meta can measure conversions and show retargeting ads. | 3 months | Advertising |
Once you accept, Google and Meta may also set their own cookies on their domains (for example google.com, doubleclick.net, and facebook.com) to deliver and retarget ads. Those cookies follow Google's and Meta's own policies: Google and Meta.
How consent works and how to change it
The cookie banner appears on your first visit and on every page, including paid landing pages. It defaults to no consent for analytics and advertising cookies; nothing in those two categories loads until you choose. Accept and Reject carry equal prominence. Your choice is remembered for 12 months and is reachable at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, where you can switch from accept to reject or back.
Third-party scripts that may set their own cookies
Two surfaces may set their own functional cookies on the routes that load them.
- Cal.com inline embed (loads only on the booking confirmation at /[entity]/thanks): Cal.com sets first-party functional cookies on its own domain (app.cal.com) for the booking widget. None of those cookies are tracking; all are required for the booking flow. The paid landing pages use a separate confirmation screen (/[entity]/lp/thanks) that does not load Cal.com. Cal.com privacy policy: cal.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (loads on the contact form on first input focus): functional token cookies with a short lifetime; documented at cloudflare.com/cookie-policy.
How to clear or block Equipt's cookies
Use your browser's site-data settings to clear cookies for equipt.ae, equipt.qa, or equipt.ae/sa. You can block all cookies in your browser; the contact form may stop working without the strictly necessary cookies above; the rest of the site will load normally. To turn analytics and advertising cookies off after accepting them, open "Cookie settings" in the footer and choose Reject.
Updates
